2019 marked the 6th year of hosting the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony in Bigfork, Montana. Each year we gather to remember the tragic events of both 9/11 events, 2001 and 2012. We remember all those who we lost, and the heroes who emerged.
The past few years the memorial ceremony has been held at Flathead Lake Lodge, under the big tent so graciously donated to us by G.J. and the folks at Celebrate Party Rentals. This year’s memorial event will take place where it all began, the 9/11 Benghazi Monument site. Many of our loyal supporters have told us how much they enjoy attending the memorial event in the beautiful mountain setting where the monument rests; it holds a special significance for so many. So, this year we are going back, we’ll be at the 9/11 monument site!
As In the past, we will strive to make this as meaningful an event for all who attend. While we focus on a somber remembrance for the fallen, we also focus on the Patriotism that signifies our Great Nation.
Our board has agreed that each year we will hold the memorial ceremony on 9/11. So, mark your calendars.
This year 9/11 falls on Wednesday, midweek. Of course, many of us work, kids in school and sports, many things challenge our schedules. When we stop to consider the sacrifices made by those we will honor on 9/11, and the importance of this day in our country’s history, it may be the most important event of the day after all.
As always, this event is free to the public. We hope you will encourage your friends and family to join us in paying tribute to those we remember on 9-11 Patriot’s Day.
Thank you and value your support, we cherished your friendships.
